Zeynep Karakus

Zeynep Karakus is a skilled professional with diverse experience in community services and healthcare. Currently serving as a Community Navigator and School Settlement Worker at Catholic Community Services of York Region since January 2021, Zeynep has also held positions as a Medical Laboratory Technician at Mackenzie Health from September 2023 and previously in October 2022, where responsibilities included performing phlebotomy and 12 lead ECGs and accurately labeling samples. Additionally, Zeynep is involved with YMCA Canada as a Member Service representative since February 2023. Earlier career roles include teaching English as a Second Language with the Ministry of Education in Turkey and managing projects for Türkiye Beyazay Derneği. Zeynep holds a Diploma of Education in Social Service Work from George Brown College, a Diploma in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Technology from Anderson College, and a Master of Arts in English Language and Literature from İstanbul Aydin University.
