John Swarbrick

John Swarbrick, FCA, is an experienced finance and risk professional with a robust background in operational risk oversight and internal audit. Currently serving as an Independent Committee Member for the Audit & Risk Committee at YMCA St Paul's Group, the largest YMCA in Europe, John previously held interim positions such as Independent Programme Assurance at London & Country Mortgages. With significant roles at Nationwide Building Society, including Head of Operational Risk Oversight and Head of Internal Audit, John also contributed to Ernst & Young as a Senior Manager in Risk and Assurance. Their career includes key positions at Deloitte Consulting, Keane Inc, Borden Dairy Company, and ICI plc, demonstrating a comprehensive expertise in risk management and financial oversight. John holds a MA in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University and is a Chartered Accountant (FCA, ICAEW).
