Mary Jean Herron is a board member at YMCA of Central Maryland and a former Chief Financial Officer for Keswick Multi-Care Center, Inc. and Health Care for the Homeless.
Ms. Herron has over 20 years of experience in the financial sector. Mary began their career as a partner and vice president for a national consulting firm in 2002. In 2006, they joined The Kingson Group Limited as a partner before becoming the Chief Financial Officer for Health Care for the Homeless in 2006.
Ms. Herron was responsible for numerous operational efforts during their time as CFO, including technology system upgrades, business expansions into new jurisdictions, and the development of new LEED Gold sustainable buildings. Mary also provided fiscal oversight and ensured compliance with all regulations.
In 2013, Ms. Herron became the Chief Financial Officer for Keswick Multi-Care Center, Inc. where they spearheaded growth efforts for the healthcare provider of post-acute, long-term care, and community services to seniors. During their time at Keswick, Ms. Herron renegotiated debt with favorable terms and managed the assets of the foundation to support growth. Mary also championed research, development, and analysis of various business models.
Ms. Herron has been a board member at YMCA of Central Maryland since 2020.
Mary Jean Herron received their Master of Science in Finance from Loyola College, their Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology/Pathologist from Loyola College in Maryland, and their Master of Science - MS in Speech-Language Pathology/Pathologist from Loyola University Maryland. Mary also completed a leadership program at Leadership Maryland. Mary Jean Herron received their MBA in Finance, General from Loyola College.
