Bette Francis

CHRO at YMCA of Delaware

Bette Francis has been working in Human Resources for over 20 years. Bette started their career at Nutratech, Inc. where they were the Director/CHRO of Human Resources. Bette then moved to M&T Bank/Wilmington Trust where they were the VP of Human Resources. In January 2001, they joined Strategic Products and Services (SPS) as the VP of HR & Administration. Bette helped develop the HR infrastructure for one of the largest AVAYA Business Partners. Bette also developed a culture of customer intimacy using scorecards and formal strategic initiatives measuring execution and customer satisfaction. In January 2007, they became the Chair of SHRM Board of Directors and led the organization through a major shift to a competency-based certification. Bette has also represented the organization to various constituencies, including leading universities, business partners, members volunteer leaders, the staff and the public. Bette is currently the CHRO at YMCA of Delaware.

Bette Francis has a Bachelor of Science from Thomas Edison State University and is certified from SHRM in SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
