Chris Hamacher has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Chris began their career as a Trainer at Two Mom's and a Mop from 1995 to 2010. Chris then worked as a General Contractor at KMH Construction Services, LLC from 1998 to 2006, overseeing construction projects and specializing in fire and flood restoration. From 2004 to 2009, they worked as a Maintenance Worker II at Brook Lodge Hotel and Conference Resort. Chris then moved on to Michigan State University - Brook Lodge as a Building Maintenance Repairer from 2006 to 2009, where they repaired and maintained commercial and industrial structures. From 2010 to 2014, they served as the Properties Director at Battle Creek Family YMCA, coordinating and supervising maintenance work. Chris then became a Computer Aided Design Engineer at Approved Protection Systems from 2014 to 2016, designing fire protection systems. Currently, they are the Vice President of Facilities at the YMCA of Greater Kalamazoo, overseeing the construction and maintenance of two locations.
Chris Hamacher earned an Associates of Arts degree in Bus Mgmt.-Computer Science from Kalamazoo Valley Community College in Oshtemo, Michigan, from 1994 to 2011. Chris also obtained another Associates of Arts degree in Business Administration/Computer Science from the same college from 1994 to 2010. Additionally, they received a Certificate in Real Estate from the Greater Kalamazoo Association of Realtor's (GKAR) in 2007. Chris has two additional certifications: CPO from the National Pool Safety Foundation in June 2013 and Lead Abatement obtained in 2012.
