Ana Luiza Drumond-Bock

Ana Luiza Drumond-Bock is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in cellular biology and cancer research. Currently serving as Associate Staff Scientist at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation's Beckstead Lab since July 2018, Ana Luiza focuses on the effects of neuromelanin accumulation in Parkinson's disease models and the role of aging in gene expression. Previously, Ana Luiza contributed to ovarian cancer research at the Bieniasz Lab and held positions as a Postdoctoral Fellow at MD Anderson Cancer Center and Sr. Research Assistant at Baylor College of Medicine. With a strong academic foundation, Ana Luiza earned a PhD in Cell Biology from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. Additionally, Ana Luiza serves as a yoga instructor to promote mental health, utilizing yoga Nidra techniques at OMRF’s fitness center.
