Cat Newlands

Cat Newlands has a diverse work experience history. Starting in 2022, they are currently working as the Associate VP of Employee Experience at the YMCA of Greater Seattle. Prior to this, they served as the VP Talent at Code2College from November 2021 to January 2022. Their most recent long-term position was as the Managing Director of Human Resources at IDEA Public Schools from June 2018 to October 2021, where they led a team of HR professionals and directed the COVID-19 crisis response for a large organization. Before that, they held various roles at Skillpoint Alliance, including Interim Executive Director and Deputy Director, from 2010 to 2016. They also served as the Executive Director at the Zilker Botanical Garden Conservancy from July 2016 to January 2018. Their career started at the YMCA of Greater Seattle as a Program Manager from March 2005 to September 2010.
