Jane Barr-Thomson

Jane Barr-Thomson is an accomplished marketing and communications professional with extensive experience across various sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Brand, Marketing and Communications at YMCA Queensland since March 2013, Jane oversees a broad range of services and programs while coordinating fundraising initiatives, including major events. Prior to this role, Jane was the Director at Ingenius Coaching, where Jane co-founded a prominent coaching and consulting service and organized numerous corporate events. Jane also held the position of Special Events Manager at the Spinal Injuries Association, where Jane successfully developed the Brisbane Jazz and Blues Festival and managed various special events. Earlier in Jane's career, as Marketing and Events Manager at YMCA Brisbane, Jane orchestrated the YMCA Corporate Cup, recruiting thousands of participants and securing sponsorships. Jane holds an Executive MBA and a Bachelor of Arts in Leisure Management with a Marketing major, along with a Certificate IV in Life Coaching.
