Emma Terämä

Emma Terämä has extensive work experience in the field of sustainability and environmental research. Emma has held various roles in prestigious institutions and organizations, including the Ministry of the Environment of Finland, where they currently serve as the Chief Specialist. Their work involves coordinating green transition initiatives and bridging the gap between legislation and implementation of environmental policies. Prior to this, they worked as a Chief Specialist at the Ministry of Finance and held roles at the Finnish Environment Institute and University College London, where they conducted research on sustainable urbanization, climate change impacts, and science-policy interactions. Emma has also worked at the University of Amsterdam, the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis, and has served on the board of Terämä Osakeyhtiö. Emma Terämä's expertise and experience make their a valuable asset in the field of environmental sustainability.

Emma Terämä has an extensive education history. From 2001 to 2007, they attended Aalto University, where they pursued a DSc (Tech) degree in the fields of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Prior to that, from 1997 to 2001, they studied at the University of Helsinki, where they obtained an MSc (including BSc) degree in Physics and Chemistry. Additionally, in 1999, Emma attended Freie Universität Berlin to further their knowledge of Physics. Their educational journey began in 1994 at Helsingin suomalainen yhteiskoulu, where they completed the International Baccalaureate.
