Derek Martin

Derek Martin has a diverse work experience background. Derek worked as a Senior Manager at Accenture from January 2004 to April 2015. Following that, they joined BSG as an Associate Partner and Head of Business Consulting, where they played a key role in shaping and delivering transformation for clients until May 2020. In 2020, Derek joined Publicis Groupe as the Vice President of Digital Delivery, where they built a technology team to deliver work across 15 group agencies and their clients. Derek focused on developing innovative solutions such as web, mobile, blockchain, chatbot, and augmented reality-based solutions, as well as backend software solutions. Currently, Derek holds the position of Director of Enterprise Technology at Yoco, starting from July 2022.

Derek Martin holds an MBA (with Distinction) in mHealth from the University of Cape Town, which they obtained from 2010 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed a BSc Engineering (Electrical and Computer Engineering) with First Class Honours from the same university from 2000 to 2003. Derek's educational background also includes a Matric degree from St Charles College, Pietermaritzburg, obtained from 1995 to 1999.
