Amit Baruch has a vast and impressive work experience in various roles and companies. Amit is currently working at Yotpo as the R&D Engineering Manager and Senior Director, leading the eCommerce retention marketing Platform SW engineering group. Previously, in 2021, they co-founded an Algo Trading Startup where they handled Engineering and Strategy.
Before that, Amit worked at Citi from 2017 to 2021 as the R&D Manager and Head of Citi Innovation and Engineering R&D center, where they led engineering teams to develop advanced software technologies for capital markets innovation. Amit also formed and led global R&D teams across different locations.
Prior to Citi, Amit was at Intel Corporation from 2015 to 2017 as the R&D Manager and Vice President of the Emerging Technologies R&D group. Amit led a global team of developers working on diverse domains like Cognitive Computing systems, Computer Vision, and Autonomous Driving.
From 2007 to 2015, Amit held roles at Samsung Electronics, first as the Director of R&D and General Manager, and later as the Director of R&D. Amit gained experience in managing teams and driving R&D activities.
Before joining Samsung, Amit worked at TransChip from 2002 to 2007, where they served as the VP of R&D and held various managerial positions in the Software and System group.
Their career started at ART Advanced Recognition Technologies in 1997, where they worked as a Signal Processing and Algorithmic Design Engineer, later becoming the Embedded Group Manager and ultimately the Director of R&D.
Overall, Amit Baruch has extensive experience in leading R&D teams, managing engineering projects, and driving innovation in various technology domains.
Amit Baruch started their education journey in 1993 at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering. Amit successfully completed their degree in 1997. Following this, in 1998, they enrolled at Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University, to pursue a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A). Amit completed their M.B.A in 2000. Later in 2005, they attended the Technion Institute of Management, where they participated in the Executive Management Program for Emerging Companies.
