John Ferris has a long and varied work experience. John started their career in 1996 at EMC Test Systems as a Digital Design Engineer, programming embedded systems for OEM products. In 1998, they moved to Motorola Semiconductor as a Test Engineer, building, verifying, releasing and maintaining engineering and production test programs. In 2000, they joined Chandelle Flying Club as a Maintenance Officer and Test Engineer, responsible for monitoring oil changes, tire changes, engine time events, and developing requirements, specifications, and functional patterns for microprocessor test. In 2004, they moved to Freescale Semiconductor as a Senior Product Engineer, managing new microprocessor designs through development into full production. In 2010, they joined SolarBridge Technologies as a Senior Test Engineer, designing and implementing highly complex test programs for solar microinverters. In 2013, they moved to Calxeda, Inc. as a Senior Systems Product Engineer, coordinating work with Field Applications engineers and ODM partners. In 2014, they joined Apple as a Final Assembly Test Point Lead, providing Test Engineering support for board and system level testing. In 2019, they moved to CET-Energy Solutions as a Principal Systems Engineer. Finally, in 2021, they joined Yotta Energy as an Engineering Manager and Test Engineering Manager.

John Ferris has a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Old Dominion University, an Associate of Science in Engineering from Thomas Nelson Community College, and a high school diploma from Tabb High School.
