Satra D. Taylor is the Director of Higher Education Policy and Advocacy at Young Invincibles, leading the overall strategy and positioning on higher education and workforce issues. Satra is an experienced equity advocate, levering policy, partnerships, and research as levers for social change in higher education. Satra is skilled in engaging coalitions, managing collective investments, public speaking, writing for diverse audiences, and equity-focused policy analysis.

In Satra’s previous role, she worked with the Executive team to focus the organization on executing the demands of now, not just on strategic planning for tomorrow. Additionally, Satra previously led policy strategy for a national policy and advocacy organization, culminating in the restoration of Pell grants for incarcerated students.

Satra has attained strong content expertise with a Master's degree focused on Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Michigan and a current doctoral student studying Higher Education at the University of Maryland College Park.

A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Satra obtained her Bachelor's in Psychology from the University of Cincinnati.
