Waël Khalil

Waël Khalil has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Waël is currently working as a Senior Project Manager at Ypso-Facto since November 2021. Prior to this, they were a Co-Owner of Green World Syria since March 2015. From October 2011 to November 2021, Waël worked as a Lecturer at Al-baath University in Homs, Syria, where they taught informatics, programming, modeling, and simulation to undergraduate and master's students. Waël also conducted research projects in simulation and modeling, using Excel, Matlab, and HYSYS. In March 2021, they briefly worked as a Project Manager at ALWADIPHARMA. Before that, they were the Owner of 01e-kimya from March 2012 to March 2015. Earlier in their career, Waël served as a Thermodynamic/Process Engineer at Processium from November 2007 to August 2010, where they performed process simulation, innovation, and conception assistance. Waël also worked as a Post Doc at the French National Institute of Agricultural Research from February 2007 to November 2007, focusing on modeling, simulation, and equilibrium measurement of spirit water distillation processes. Waël also conducted research using ChemCAD. Waël completed their Doctorat at ENSMP from October 2003 to December 2006, specializing in thermodynamics, modeling, simulation, and automation. During this time, they worked on measuring physical properties of a supercritical mixture and improving measurement precision through instrument setup. Waël began their career as an Assistant Professor at Albaath Syrie from October 2000 to September 2002.

Waël Khalil completed their education in a chronological sequence. From 1994 to 1999, they attended Albaath Homs Syrie and obtained a degree in Ingenieur with a major in Genie chimique et pétrolier. Following that, they pursued further studies at Pierre and Marie Curie University from 2002 to 2003, earning a DEA degree in Chimie appliquée et chimie industrielle. Finally, from 2003 to 2006, they attended Mines Paris and obtained a PHD in Chemical Process.
