Gilbert Achermann

Gilbert Achermann is Chairman of the Board of the Straumann Group, the global market leader in implant dentistry and member of the Board of Directors of Vifor Pharma AG and the Julius Baer Group AG. At the IMD Lausanne he is a member of the supervisory board and a committee member of the Chamber of Commerce of both Basle cantons. He is also involved as an investor & business angel for start-ups. Previously he held mandates as Chairman & Co-CEO of Vitra Holding AG and Chairman of Siegfried Holding AG. He started his career at UBS in the investment banking division. He has a Bachelor degree from the University of Applied Sciences St. Gallen and an Executive MBA from IMD.
