K. K. George

K. K. George has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. K. K. is currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering at Yugabyte, a position they have held since November 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Engineering in India for Yugabyte from April 2021 to October 2023. K. K. also held the role of a Senior Software Engineering Manager at Amazon Web Services (AWS) from May 2020 to April 2021.

From 2018 to 2020, George worked at Portworx as the Senior Director of Software Engineering. During their tenure, they set up and managed two offices in India and led a team of engineers in development, QA, and customer support. Before that, they were a Chief Technology Officer and Advisory Board Member at Sureline Systems, Inc. where they designed and implemented a deduplication engine for backup data storage.

George has also worked as a Consultant, Developer, and Facilitator at KKG Consulting, where they worked on several projects for Bay Area companies and redesigned a rehydrator product to improve its performance. K. K. served as the VP of Global Engineering at ScaleArc from 2015 to 2018, overseeing a global engineering team split across multiple locations. Tech in Mechanical Engineering at the College of Engineering Trivandrum from 1985 to 1989. Their earlier education took place at Kendriya Vidyalaya between 1973 and 1985, without any specified degree or field of study.
