Gustavo "Goose" Manriquez

Gustavo "Goose" Manriquez's work experience begins with their role as Art Director at YUR® starting in 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Meta as the Managing Art Director from 2017 to 2023, where they were responsible for working with the Messenger and Messenger Kids AR art team, creating augmented reality effects and managing and mentoring part of the art team.

Before Meta, Gustavo co-founded Mantis VR in 2014, where they developed a wearable system for mixed reality experiences while exploring digital adventures. Gustavo "Goose" also worked at Electronic Arts (EA) as a Marketing Artist from 2013 to 2014, creating promotional material for the release of Sims4.

Earlier in their career, Gustavo served as the Art Director at Metamoki, Inc. from 2011 to 2012, where they recruited, directed, and mentored art teams for mobile game titles. Gustavo "Goose" founded and served as the Animation Director at Cinematico inc from 2002 to 2012, building the company and working on projects for clients such as Activision, Adult Swim (Cartoon Network), Zynga, Sony, Universal Studios, and Mondo Studios.

Gustavo's other experiences include working as an Animation Supervisor at Bigpoint Inc in 2011, a motion capture director at enVie Interactive from 2009 to 2010, and an Animation Director at Treanor Brothers Animation from 2000 to 2001. Gustavo "Goose" began their career as an Animator/Art Dept Manager at Mondo Media in 1994.

Subsequently, from 1989 to 1993, they attended San Francisco State University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art and Animation.
