Chelsea Kirkby is an experienced public health and community safety professional currently serving as the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and Program Development at YWCA Hamilton since May 2023. Prior roles include Senior Project Manager for both Community Safety & Well-Being and Public Health Services with the City of Hamilton, where significant contributions were made during the COVID response. Chelsea has a history in public health competency development, policy, and planning, having worked at the Jean Tweed Centre and Echo: Improving Women's Health in Ontario. Educational qualifications include a Master's in Public Health focusing on Women's Health and Health Promotion from the University of Toronto, a Graduate Diploma in Community Economic Development from Concordia University, and a Bachelor's degree in English from McMaster University.
