Lorraine Vanel is currently a PhD candidate at Zaion, conducting research in collaboration with Institut Mines Telecom on the topic of Natural Language Generation for socially competent conversational agents. Previously, Lorraine developed an empathetic conversational chatbot utilizing sentiment analysis and NLP techniques during an internship. Earlier experiences include work as an Elève Chercheuse at Tohoku University, focusing on cognitive systems, and as a natural language processing intern at Groupe Crédit Agricole, where Lorraine contributed to the development of a FAQ tool and PDF content extraction. Lorraine holds a degree from Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Cognitique and completed a year at Tohoku University, having previously engaged in preparatory classes in Mathematics and Physics at Lycée Chaptal.
