Robert Starr

Robert Starr has over 35 years of experience in Human Resources and Administration. Starting in 1983, they held the role of Vice-President, Human Resources and Administration at ADAC Labs, a manufacturer of medical imaging and medical information systems. In 1996, the company won the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality award. In 2000, ADAC was acquired by Philips Medical Systems. In 1999, Robert Starr became a Principal/Human Resource Consultant at The Laurus Group HR Consulting. In 2002, they moved to Lam Research Corporation as a Sr. Human Resources Manager. In 2005, they became Vice President Human Resources & Administration (CAO) at MicroDental Laboratories, a leading producer of custom dental prosthesis and other FDA-cleared medical devices. In 2016, the private-equity backed company was sold to Modern Dental Group. In 2017, Robert Starr became a Human Resources Consultant at RAS HR Consulting. In 2021, they joined StartupExperts as an HR Leader. Currently, Robert Starr is the Vice President Human Resources at ZAP Surgical Systems, Inc., where they are working on a new product, the Zap-X, to disrupt the field of Radio Surgery.

Robert Starr attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Sciences, with a minor in Human Resources.
