Olmo Maldonado

Olmo Maldonado is a senior backend engineer at Zapier. Olmo was previously a technology education teacher at IDEA Public Schools, where they developed and taught computer science curriculum for 9th and 12th grade students. Olmo also founded and served as president of Code#RGV, a non-profit organization that provides hands-on experience and training with technology used in the industry. Olmo has also interned at Google and worked as a graduate student researcher at the Center for Embedded Networked Sensing.

Olmo Maldonado received their BS in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at San Antonio. Olmo then went on to earn their M.S. in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Los Angeles.

Their manager is Kristina Kemmer, Engineering Director. Olmo Maldonado works with Josh Newman - Frontend Engineer, Chris Dopuch - Senior Fullstack Engineer, and Filipa Lacerda - Frontend Engineer. Ryan Siemens - Backend Engineer, Linh Vo - Backend Engineer, and Chris Mclachlan-Lee - Backend Engineer report to Olmo Maldonado.
