Chris Holton

Product Director at Zappar

Chris Holton has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Chris started their career as a Volunteer English Teacher in Ghana in 2011, where they worked at a rural primary school for two months. In 2011, they also had a Research Internship with The Labour Party.

In 2013, Chris joined the Chatteris Educational Foundation as a Project Coordinator, where they spent 10 months in Hong Kong helping students from low socio-economic backgrounds improve their English language skills.

From 2014 to 2016, Chris worked as a Digital Marketing Executive at Snaptrip.com, a VC-backed marketplace for last-minute UK cottage or lodge rentals. Chris was the first employee hired at Snaptrip and thrived in the fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. Chris also had the opportunity to learn lean methods and work closely with influential startup professionals through the startup accelerator, Forward Partners.

In 2016, Chris joined WhatUsersDo as a Growth Marketing Manager, focusing on customer acquisition, activation, and retention for the SaaS platform. The company was later acquired by UserZoom.

Since 2016, Chris has been working at Zappar, starting as a Product Manager and progressing to Head of Product. As Product Director, their most recent role, Chris is responsible for overseeing product development and strategy at Zappar.

Chris Holton earned a Bachelor's Degree in BA (Hons) in Economic and Social Studies from The University of Manchester from 2010 to 2013. In 2012, they also studied Political Science and Government as part of an exchange year at The University of Hong Kong. Additionally, they have obtained certifications including a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from the Scrum Alliance in September 2018, and certifications in Google Analytics and UX Design from General Assembly (specific dates not provided).
