Ryan Madden

Ryan Madden has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Ryan is currently working as a Senior Product Manager at ZayZoon since March 2023. Prior to this, they held the role of Product Owner/Manager at the same company from June 2020 to February 2023.

Before joining ZayZoon, Ryan worked at Payload Technologies Inc. as a Product Owner from January 2020 to April 2020. Their responsibilities involved continuous collaboration with stakeholders and customers to define product requirements and communicate the product vision and strategy within the business.

Ryan has also worked at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, where they held two roles. As a Quality Systems Engineer - Post Market Surveillance from July 2019 to December 2019, their work focused on leveraging post-market data to inform medical device design and enhance manufacturing processes. Ryan also ensured regulatory compliance through accurate trending and management of post-market data. Prior to this, they worked as a Regulatory Compliance Engineer from October 2018 to July 2019, where they maintained compliance and international market access through post-market surveillance activities.

Earlier in their career, Ryan worked as a Research and Development Engineer at Sport Insight from September 2013 to December 2017. Ryan was responsible for planning, data collection, analysis, and interpretation for biomechanics-related projects. Ryan also designed sensors and equipment to improve research capabilities and enhance athletic performance.

Ryan started their career as a Graduate Student (M.Sc.) at the University of Calgary from September 2010 to July 2013. Their thesis work involved investigating the effect of compressive mechanical loading on cartilage cells. Ryan also gained extensive experience with confocal laser scanning microscopy and mechanical testing of soft biological tissues.

Finally, Ryan gained internship experience at Inter Pipeline Fund from May 2008 to August 2009. As a Pipeline Engineering Intern, they supported the development and implementation of new capital growth projects and conducted hydraulic simulations for diagnostic and investigative purposes.

Ryan Madden completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calgary between the years 2005 and 2010. Ryan later pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Biomedical Engineering from the same university, which they completed from 2010 to 2013.
