Nazli Azimi

Nazli Azimi is a distinguished biotechnology entrepreneur and executive with extensive experience in the industry. Currently serving as Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of a stealth biotech start-up since April 2024, Nazli also holds positions as an Independent Board Member at both Zehna Therapeutics Inc and Omeat, contributing to the development of therapeutic solutions for cardiovascular and chronic kidney diseases, as well as oversight in strategic planning. Previously, Nazli was the Chairwoman of the Leadership Board at the Terasaki Institute for Biomedical Innovation, driving scientific innovation and commercialization efforts. As Founder, President, and CEO of Bioniz Therapeutics, Nazli co-invented cutting-edge cytokine inhibitors for autoimmune diseases and cancer. Early career experience includes founding Dermaheal USA Corp and conducting significant research at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and the National Institutes of Health. Nazli holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Tehran and completed a Fellowship in Immunology at the University of Maryland.
