Joe Bland

Joe Bland has over 20 years of design experience, beginning in 1996 as a Designer for the Swinburne Design Centre. Joe then worked as a Designer for Brian Pascoe Design in 1997, followed by a role as Graphic Design Leader at Woods Bagot in 1998. In 1999, they became a Designer at Simm Design, and in 2001, they took on the role of Creative Director at Univers, where they were responsible for project management and client liaison, brand strategy, concept development, design and direction, user experience design and direction, visual design and art direction, and CSS/HTML/JS coding and coder management. In 2014, they founded MASS - Melbourne Architectural Signage Studio - as a unique signage design, fabrication and installation studio, and currently serves as Art Director. In 2020, they took on the role of Head of Design at Zeller.

Joe Bland attended Camberwell Grammar School from 1980 to 1992 and obtained their VCE. Joe then went on to Swinburne University of Technology, where they completed a Bachelor of Art (Design) Honours in Graphic Design from 1993 to 1996.
