Karen Wicks

Karen Wicks has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Karen started their career in 1993 as a Trainee Composite Engineer at Composite Technical Services. Karen then moved on to work as a Process Engineer at Cytec Solvay Group from 1994 to 1999, where they were responsible for introducing new processes and equipment into the production environment. In 2000, Karen joined Zen Internet Limited as a Web Developer, primarily working on Zen Internet's websites and providing Windows Hosting Customer Support. Karen also set up and maintained Virtual Servers for hosting options. Karen transitioned to Zen Web Solutions in 2002, where they held various roles including Web Developer and later Senior Developer. In this role, they developed bespoke content managed and eCommerce websites using Microsoft Technologies. Karen also handled integrations to third party systems and provided maintenance and email support for existing systems. Most recently, Karen has been working at Zen Internet as a Systems Developer since 2017.

Karen Wicks has a strong educational background in the field of materials science and information systems. Karen first attended Imperial College London from 1989 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Materials Science. During this time, they developed a solid foundation in the study of materials.

In 1992, Karen pursued further specialization by pursuing a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Composite Materials at Imperial College London. This program allowed their to gain a more in-depth understanding of composite materials and their applications. Karen successfully completed their studies in 1993.

After a brief break from formal education, Karen returned to university in 1999 to pursue another MSc degree, this time in Information Systems at the University of Liverpool. This program equipped their with the necessary knowledge and skills to understand and manage information systems effectively. Karen completed their studies in 2000.

In addition to their academic achievements, Karen also obtained a certification in "70-215: Installation, Configuration, and Administering Windows 2000 Server" from Microsoft in March 2001. This certification suggests that they have expertise in managing Windows 2000 Server systems.
