Anthony Spay

Anthony Spay has extensive work experience in the comic book industry. Anthony began their career as an Editorial Intern at DC Comics in 2004, where they assisted with writing previews and advertisements, reviewed artwork, and offered suggestions to the editors. Anthony later worked as a Freelance Illustrator and Art Director at Zenescope Entertainment from 2011 to 2014, where they identified and developed new artistic talent, managed artists and their projects, reviewed artwork for publications, and acted as lead editor for various comics. Anthony has also worked as an Artist at various companies including Kickstarter, Coffin Comics, Frew Publications, and Egmont. Currently, they are working as an Artist at DC Comics. At The Upper Deck Company from 2014, Anthony worked as an Illustrator, creating artwork for games in the Marvel 'Legendary' series and contributing to the Marvel 80th anniversary trading card set.

Anthony Spay earned their Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Sequential Art from Savannah College of Art and Design, where they studied from 2003 to 2006. Prior to that, they pursued a double major in Business Management and Studio Art at Gettysburg College from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree.
