Jeff LaJoie

Jeff LaJoie has been a software engineer for over 8 years. Jeff started their career in 2012 as a Software Engineer Intern at EnerNOC. From 2013 to 2017, they were a Senior Software Engineer and a Software Engineer at EnerNOC. In their roles, they used Terraform to request resources in AWS, deployed and ran microservices inside of Amazon Web Services, wrote background Sidekiq worker jobs, and wrote a stateful web crawler using Mechanize. From 2017 to 2021, they were a Senior Software Engineer at edX where they were part of a cross-functional team as a full stack engineer working toward i18n and WCAG 2.0 compliance. Jeff used Axe, Chrome Accessibility Audit, and a11y best practices applied to multiple front end stacks. In 2021, they joined Zenlist as a Senior Software Engineer.

Jeff LaJoie earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Rochester Institute of Technology between 2009 and 2013.
