Hernan Tapia Fernandes

Hernan Tapia Fernandes has an extensive work experience spanning over 16 years. Their current role is as the VP of Engineering at Zenpli, which they have been in since November 2021. Prior to this, they were self-employed as a Service Partner in Digital Business Tech Projects since August 2015. Hernan worked as the Chief Technology Officer at Independencia Asesores from July 2016 to November 2021. Before that, they were an Engineering Manager at Axcess Financial from August 2012 to August 2015, and a Solutions Architecture Lead at Duke Energy Corporation from April 2010 to August 2012. Hernan also held the positions of Architect & Head of Customer Support at BCTS Consulting from May 2008 to April 2010, Senior Software Engineer Team Lead at Sygnus Consulting from September 2007 to May 2008, and Software Engineer at BERMIT: Soluciones Integrales from June 2006 to August 2007. Their earliest work experience was as a Software Engineer at Banco de Crédito BCP from January 2005 to June 2006.

Hernan Tapia Fernandes has a diverse education history. Hernan obtained a Certificate in The Iterative Innovation Process from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2020. In the same year, they also earned a Certificate in Design Thinking for Innovation from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.

Prior to that, Hernan pursued higher education at Tulane University - A.B. Freeman School of Business, where they completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in 2015. Moreover, they earned three Oracle certifications in 2008: BEA WebLogic Server 9/10 Performance Tuning, BEA WebLogic Server 9/10 Advanced System Administration, and BEA WebLogic Server 9/10 System Administration. Lastly, in 2007, Hernan obtained the TS: Microsoft .NET Framework - Application Development Foundation certification from Microsoft.
