James Duncan Spelling

James Spelling is an accomplished project manager and engineer with extensive experience in renewable energy, particularly in offshore wind and shipping sectors. Currently serving as a Project Manager for Energy & Fuels at Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping, James leads innovative fuel concept projects aimed at advancing the shipping industry's transition to clean fuels. Prior to this role, James held various positions at Ørsted, including technical project manager for offshore wind farm developments and senior engineer roles focused on wind farm design, layout, and cost estimation. James's background also includes analytical positions at EDF Energy and research roles at IMDEA Energy, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, and EPFL, culminating in a PhD in Energy Technology from KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
