Pekka Pohjanen

Pekka Pohjanen is a seasoned professional in sustainability and water treatment technologies, currently serving as a secondee by Seaspan Corporation at the Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping since March 2023 and as a Senior Technology Specialist for Sustainability at Foreship Ltd. since November 2022. Previously, Pekka worked as a Project Manager at Yara Marine Technologies AS, where responsibilities included managing projects for large-scale Marine Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems and engaging in procurement and process engineering. Prior experience includes serving as a Sales & Project Manager at RWO GmbH, focusing on marine water treatment systems, and completing a Master's thesis on Advanced Wastewater Treatment at EVAC Oy. Pekka holds an MSc in Water and Wastewater Technology from Cranfield University and a BSc in Environmental Sciences from the University of Helsinki.
