Karthik Ramani

CoFounder and Chief Scientist at ZeroUI

Karthik Ramani has a long and varied work experience. From 1987 to 1991, they were a Graduate Student at Stanford University. From 1991 to 2021, they were a Donald W. Feddersen Distinguished Professor of Mechanical Engineering, a Donald W. Feddersen Professor of Mechanical Engineering, and a Professor at Purdue University. In 2021, they became a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University Elmore Family School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. From 2005 to 2012, they were a CoFounder of VizSeek, where they developed core concepts in the company's powerful shape based search engine. From 2012 to present, they have been the CoFounder and Chief Scientist of ZeroUI, where they have worked to make everyone a maker through the convergence of consumerization of manufacturing and democratization of creativity.

Karthik Ramani received their B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Design from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 1985. Karthik then went on to receive their M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Design from The Ohio State University in 1987. Finally, they earned their Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Design from Stanford University in 1991. Karthik also attended KV IIT, but no additional information is available.
