Deepak Verma

Deepak Verma has over 20 years of experience in various roles in the technology industry. Deepak is currently the VP of Products at Zerto, where they are responsible for defining strategies, positioning, licensing, pricing, and go-to-market plans for future products. Prior to this, Deepak served as the Director of Product Strategy at Zerto, leading efforts to expand the company's products beyond Disaster Recovery (DR) into new areas like containers, Kubernetes, Backup, and SaaS.

Before joining Zerto, Deepak worked at Commvault as the Director of Product Management - Public and Private Cloud Platforms. In this role, they built and led a team of product managers for both private and public cloud, overseeing product strategy, market analysis, user stories, and backlog. Deepak also enhanced the product management process and tools to align with company goals.

Deepak's previous experience includes senior roles at Hitachi Data Systems, where they served as the Senior Manager - Data Protection - Americas, managing a team and delivering solutions for backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, high availability, and ransomware protection. Deepak was also a Senior Solutions Engineer, supporting key accounts and achieving sales quotas.

Deepak started their career as a Founding Partner at Aberdean Consulting, where they established a data center technology practice and achieved revenue goals. Deepak then worked as a Consultant at Deloitte, specializing in enterprise data storage, disaster recovery, and business continuity.

Prior to their consulting roles, Deepak worked as a System Administrator at Credit Lyonnais, responsible for administering critical production systems and deploying software and hardware upgrades.

Throughout their career, Deepak has demonstrated a strong track record of leadership, strategy development, and technical expertise in the technology industry.

Deepak Verma has a Master of Science degree in Computing - Big Data & Machine Learning from Marquette University, which they obtained between 2016 and 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, completed between 1997 and 2000. Deepak also holds multiple certifications in various cloud computing platforms and data management, including certifications from Microsoft, Google, Amazon Web Services, and Commvault.
