Yao L.

Yao L. currently serves as a Visiting Fellow at ZINC, providing support to a cohort of 70 Founders in building scalable solutions to address societal challenges in environmental and health sectors. Previously, Yao held the position of Head of AI for Machine Translation at Phrase and was the Head of Innovation at HERE Technologies, where promotion from Director of Innovation occurred. Yao's experience includes roles in corporate strategy and planning at Hitachi America Ltd., product portfolio management at IBM, and participation in significant projects while pursuing an MBA at Harvard Business School. Yao's early career involved software engineering and leadership roles at IBM and research at the MIT Artificial Intelligence Lab. Academic credentials include a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as an MBA from Harvard Business School.
