Dan Sisson

VP Research / Innovation at ZincFive

Dan Sisson has had a long and varied career in the renewable energy sector. Dan began their career in 1983 as a Manufacturing Engineer and Journeyman Machinist at Supra Products Inc. where they designed, machined, and manufactured prototypes and research tools for the real estate market. In 1999, Dan co-founded Phillip-Sisson Industries, a private company based in Salem, Oregon, where they were responsible for product design, new product introductions, sales support, application engineering, and CNC programming. In 2006, Dan became the V.P. Engineering at PSI Acquisitions, a private company and the manufacturing company that founded the rechargeable battery technology. In 2012, Dan joined Millennium Power Solutions, LLC as the VP Engineering, where they were the inventor and manufacturer of a new green battery backup technology. In 2013, Dan took on the role of VP Research & Development at Blue Earth Energy Power Solutions, a comprehensive provider of energy efficiency and alternative/renewable energy solutions. Finally, in 2016, Dan was appointed VP Research / Innovation at ZincFive, Inc., a private company in the renewable energy sector offering innovative battery backup technologies featuring Nickel-Zinc chemistry.

Dan Sisson completed their Journeyman degree in Machinist from JATC in 1986, having started their studies in 1982.
