Vanessa R. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Vanessa started their career at Yahoo as an Agency Account Manager from December 2006 to November 2008. Vanessa then moved on to work at REA Group as a Senior Account Manager in Agency Media Sales from November 2008 to March 2011. Vanessa then joined TubeMogul, Inc. as a Senior Sales Manager for Tubemogul.com APAC from March 2011 to November 2011. Vanessa subsequently worked at Mamamia as a Sales Manager for NSW & QLD from November 2011 to December 2012.

In 2013, Vanessa joined Expedia Group as a Regional Business Development Manager for AU NZ / APAC from January 2013 to July 2018. During this time, they also served as the Vice President of the WELL Sydney Chapter from March 2017 to July 2018.

After their time at Expedia Group, Vanessa joined Shutterstock as a Senior Strategic Sales Manager for Enterprise Australia & New Zealand from July 2018 to January 2020. Vanessa also worked as a Senior Client Partner for Enterprise Australia & New Zealand from January 2020 to May 2020.

In 2020, Vanessa joined TikTok as a Client Partner for Key Accounts in the Travel, Government & Education sector. Vanessa played a key role in client onboarding and revenue growth in the ANZ region. Vanessa was promoted to the role of Key Accounts Client Partner Functional Lead in January 2022 until July 2022. Additionally, they co-founded the Sydney Chapter of Women at TikTok, where they organized charity drives and events to promote women in leadership.

Currently, Vanessa works as a Senior Commercial Business Development Manager - Enterprise at Zip Co, starting in February 2023.

Vanessa R. obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Communications (Advertising) from Western Sydney University. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the Basic Programmatic Certification from StackAdapt in January 2023. Prior to that, they completed a course titled "Supporting a Grieving Employee: A Manager's Guide" from LinkedIn in October 2022. Vanessa also has certifications in Consultative Selling from Dale Carnegie Training in April 2021, Unconscious Bias from LinkedIn in September 2020, and Establishing Credibility as a Speaker from LinkedIn in October 2019. Vanessa has obtained several other certifications throughout their education and career, including Influencing Others, Lead Like a Boss, Negotiation Training, and Strategic Selling.
