Eddie Rains

Eddie Rains has extensive work experience in project management and agile methodologies. Eddie started their career as a Sr. Scrum Master at Kroll, where they worked on projects related to identity theft and breach notification. Eddie then moved on to Express Scripts as a Sr. Agile PM / Sr. ScrumMaster before joining Deloitte Global as a Sr. PgM / PM. With Deloitte Global, Eddie was involved in various projects including P2OE, Patch SIP & Firewall SIP, and Vulnerability Management.

After Deloitte Global, Eddie joined HCL America - AIG as a Sr. Scrum Master / Sr. Project Manager. Eddie continued their project management roles at Disys - ChangeHealthcare as a Product Owner and at IG - Cigna as a CSM, where they contributed to an Agile Transformation project in the Government Business Sector.

Eddie then worked as a CSM at MedaSource - Ascension before transitioning to larger roles. Eddie served as a Workfront Project Manager at Optum and as a VP Engineering at ZipData, Inc. Eddie'smost recent role is an Implementation Manager at DocASAP, which was acquired by Optum.

Throughout their career, Eddie has demonstrated a strong understanding of project management methodologies, agile practices, and expertise in using tools like Jira, Workfront, and Confluence.

Eddie Rains has a diverse education history. Eddie earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in 1994 from Tennessee State University. Later, from 2002 to 2005, they pursued two master's degrees from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University. These degrees include a Master of Network and Communication Management (MNCM) and a Master of Information Systems Management (MISM).

In addition to their formal education, Eddie Rains has obtained several certifications. In January 2015, they became a Scrum Fundamentals Certified (SFC) and a Scrum Master Certified (CSM) from SCRUMstudy - Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile. In February 2015, they also obtained the Scrum Product Owner Certified (SPOC) certification from the same institution. Eddie'smost recent certification is the Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist, which they obtained in October 2020 from Scaled Agile, Inc.
