Staff Accountant

Job description

Our Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day financial activities of the company. This includes recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and producing financial reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.

  • Record all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.

  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements and ensure that all transactions are properly accounted for.

  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues with financial records.

  • Generate financial reports form reconciled data. Assisting in the generation of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Provide regular financial updates to management, highlighting key metrics and trends.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and company policies.

  • Maintain organized and comprehensive financial documentation for audit purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is highly preferred or 2-3 years of experience as a Bookkeeper

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.

  • Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., Excel, QuickBooks).

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.

Working Hours & Hours of Operation

Reno, Nevada: 

Monday - Thursday 8:30 am - 5:30 pm with a 1-hour lunch, Fridays 8:00 am - 4:30 pm with a 30-minute lunch
