Dianelys Gonzalez-Pena

Dianelys Gonzalez-Pena is a Principal Scientist at Zoetis Inc., where a strong background in animal sciences has been developed since joining in January 2018, following a role as Genetic Evaluation Lead from 2016 to 2017. Prior experience includes a postdoctoral position at USDA, focusing on the identification of Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms in aquaculture, and a Graduate Research Assistant role at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, studying reproductive technologies in livestock. Earlier experience as a researcher at Centro de Investigaciones para el Mejoramiento Animal involved estimating (co)variance components in cattle. Dianelys holds a Ph.D. in Animal Sciences from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a Master’s Degree in Animal Breeding and Reproduction Biotechnology from Universitat Politècnica de València, and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Universidad Agraria de la Habana.
