Jennifer Smith is the VP of Strategic Partnerships & Initiatives at Zoo Atlanta. Jennifer has over fifteen years of experience in event planning and management. Prior to their current position, Jennifer was the Director of Catering and Conference Services at Sodexo at Cox Enterprises. In this role, they oversaw the day-to-day catering and conference center operations for Cox Enterprises global headquarters. Jennifer provided exemplary customer service to all levels of the organization, including C-level executives, employees, community partners, clients and vendors. Jennifer also oversaw all aspects of event planning, from conception to execution, for events as large as 5,000 guests.Jennifer has received outstanding marks in customer service surveys from clients in 2014, 2015 & 2016. Jennifer successfully led their events team in the expansion of operations in 2015, including the management of additional conference space, resulting from Cox Enterprises new construction and renovations. Jennifer generated $6M in revenue through catering and decor sales, 35% above budget for FY16.

Prior to their role at Sodexo, Jennifer was the General Manager of Event Sales & Operations at The Woodruff Arts Center from January 2006 to May 2013.

Jennifer Smith has a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from Bowling Green State University and a minor in marketing. Jennifer also has a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from Bowling Green State University with a minor in marketing.
