Yuriy Vasiyarov

Yuriy Vasiyarov has a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology industry. Yuriy began their career in 2004 as a Developer and Senior Developer in a web development company. From 2011 to 2013, they worked as a Team Leader at Lamoda Group and Butik.ru, leading small teams of PHP and Golang developers.

In 2013, Yuriy joined Lazada Group, a Southeast Asian e-commerce company owned by Alibaba Group. Yuriy held various roles within the company, including Vice President of Engineering, Senior Vice President of Engineering, and General Director of Lazada TechHub Russia. Yuriy was responsible for improving the quality of engineering across development teams, setting up and operating the largest TechHub in the company, and building a strong HR brand and technology culture.

In 2018, Yuriy joined Ozon.Travel as the Chief Technology Officer, where they oversaw technology operations until 2020. Currently, they serve as the Group CTO at Zood, focusing on driving technical strategies and initiatives for ZoodPay and ZoodMall.

Throughout their career, Yuriy has delivered key projects within time and budget constraints, such as setting up the largest Kubernetes cluster in Southeast Asia and migrating a monolith PHP application to GO microservices running on a Kubernetes cluster. Yuriy has also contributed to the engineering community through open-source projects.

Yuriy Vasiyarov completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Ulyanovsk State Technical University in 2007. Yuriy then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Computer Science from the same university, which they completed in 2009.
