Shahab Asghar

Shahab Asghar has extensive work experience in the legal field. Shahab has held various roles at different companies throughout their career.

In 2008, Shahab worked as a Summer Associate at Latham & Watkins.

In 2010, they served as an Assistant District Attorney at the San Francisco District Attorney's Office for a brief period before moving on to a Legal Intern position at the Special Tribunal for Lebanon. Shahab then returned to Latham & Watkins, where they worked as an Associate from October 2010 to December 2014. Shahab'sresponsibilities included representing clients in complex corporate matters and litigation, such as mergers and acquisitions, regulatory investigations, intellectual property disputes, and antitrust cases. Shahab also provided legal and commercial expertise, managed teams and projects, and conducted strategic analysis.

From 2014 to 2021, Shahab served as an Advisor at Text IQ, providing guidance and support in their area of expertise.

Starting in 2015, Shahab joined Coinbase, a cryptocurrency exchange company. Shahab initially worked as an Associate Counsel, then as a Corporate Counsel, and finally as an Associate General Counsel, specializing in data privacy and security. Shahab'stenure at Coinbase ended in September 2021.

In 2022, Shahab joined Scale LLP as Counsel before transitioning to their current role as General Counsel at ZORA later that year.

Shahab Asghar attended UC Santa Barbara from 2001 to 2003, though the specific degree or field of study is unknown. Later, Shahab earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California, where they studied from 2003 to 2005. Shahab further pursued their education at the University of California, Los Angeles - School of Law, from 2006 to 2009 and obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in the field of Law.
