We seek a highly skilled and experienced Solutions Engineer to join our team. As a Solutions Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and growth of ZPE Systems products. Utilize your expertise in Linux, Networking, Security, and Automation to provide technical guidance, create customer-facing materials, deliver presentations, conduct product demonstrations, and design effective solution architectures for our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of Linux systems, network infrastructure, security concepts, and automation technologies. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in these areas.
  • Solution Architecture: Collaborate with the sales and engineering teams to design and develop comprehensive solution architectures for ZPE Systems products. Understand customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions that align with our product offerings.
  • Product Presentations and Demonstrations: Create and deliver engaging presentations and product demonstrations to prospective customers. Clearly articulate our products' value proposition, features, and benefits to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Training and Documentation: Develop and maintain training materials, user guides, technical documentation, and other resources to support customers, partners, and internal teams. Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate customers on our solutions' implementation, configuration, and best practices.
  • Pre-Sales Support: Assist the sales team during the pre-sales process by providing technical expertise, addressing customer inquiries, conducting proofs-of-concept, and participating in solution discussions.
  • Post-Sales Support: Collaborate with the support and implementation teams to ensure successful deployment and integration of ZPE Systems products. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and provide customers with ongoing technical guidance and support.
  • Industry and Market Insights: Stay informed about the competitive landscape, emerging technologies, and market trends related to networking, security, virtualization, and automation. Provide feedback to the product management team regarding customer needs and industry demands.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Proven experience as a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or in a similar technical customer-facing role.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Linux operating systems, networking protocols, security technologies, and automation tools.
  • 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration and troubleshooting. In-depth understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, switching, etc.)
  • Familiarity with security best practices, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption, authentication, and access control.
  • Experience with automation frameworks and tools like Ansible, Salt, or a programming language.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (KVM and Docker) is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills, with the ability to deliver engaging product demonstrations and training sessions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential challenges.
