Kenta Tomura

Kenta Tomura has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Kenta started their career as a Floor Stocker at Crate and Barrel in 2007. In 2009, they worked as a Research Assistant for Dr. Megumi Naoi at the University of California, San Diego.

Moving into the technology sector, Kenta joined PlanetTogether Inc. in 2009 as an Implementation Consultant. Kenta later became a Solution Architect, leading the Solution Architect Team from 2015 to 2016. At PlanetTogether, Kenta developed a Trial Sales Process and managed pre-sales activities.

In 2016, Kenta joined Celigo, Inc. as a Technical Implementation Consultant. Kenta implemented Celigo iPaaS solutions and integrated cloud platforms such as NetSuite, Salesforce, Zendesk, and JIRA to improve business operations. Kenta also streamlined financial operations by integrating NetSuite with Silicon Valley Bank and created educational content for self-installation and configuration.

Currently, Kenta is working at Zuora. Kenta started as a Solution Architect and then became a Senior Solution Architect, guiding the implementation of Zuora's cloud technologies and providing subscription business best practices. Kenta later transitioned into a role as a Senior Customer Strategist, contributing to the company's strategy and sales efforts. Currently, they hold the position of Director & GTM GM, Expand Business Group, where they are responsible for expanding and growing the business at Zuora.

Kenta Tomura pursued their education from 2002 to 2006 at Robert Louis Stevenson School. However, no specific degree or field of study was mentioned for this period. From 2006 to 2010, they attended UC San Diego, where they earned a BS/BA degree in Management Science/Political Science. In terms of additional certifications, Kenta Tomura obtained the "Zuora-Certified Business Analyst" certification from Zuora in August 2019 and the "Zuora-Certified Consultant" certification from the same institution in May 2020.
