Director Of Engineering at Zuora

Taylor Medford has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Hyper Sonics USRP Research Intern at NASA Langley Research Center in 2010. Here, they focused on image processing and developed a patented three-dimensional flow visualization technique.

In 2011, they worked as a Computational Dynamics USRP Research Intern at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where they modeled and simulated planetary space platforms and developed a new simulation for modeling dirt regolith in low gravity environments.

In the same year, Taylor also worked as a PHP CodeIgnighter Web Developer and Chief Analytics Officer at Swarmbooks, a startup that provided an online marketplace for Georgia Tech students to buy and sell their textbooks. They were responsible for developing the front and backend PHP CodeIgnighter framework for the website.

In 2012, Taylor worked as a Corporate Engineering Intern at Caterpillar Inc., evaluating possible energy recovery systems for future wheel loader development and quantifying system energy use and loss.

Since 2013, Taylor has been at Zuora, starting as a Technical Consultant, where they implemented Zuora's SaaS based subscription product and billing system for clients. They also developed custom extensions to the Zuora platform and assisted in pre-sales demonstrations. Throughout their time at Zuora, they held various roles including Senior Solutions Engineer, Senior Engineering Manager, and currently serve as the Director of Engineering. As a founding member, Taylor drove platform development and sales, leading to the creation of a new department within the company.

Taylor Medford's education history begins with their high school education at New Trier High School, where they attended from 2004 to 2008. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, which they completed from 2008 to 2012.

After obtaining their undergraduate degree, Taylor enrolled at the Georgia Institute of Technology again, this time for a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering. They completed this program from 2012 to 2013.

In 2014, Taylor obtained a certification as a Salesforce.com Certified Force.com Developer from Salesforce.

Most recently, from 2023 to 2025, Taylor attended The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where they pursued a Masters of Business Administration degree. The field of study for this degree is not specified.
