Alan Yang

Alan Yang has a strong background in operations and engineering, with extensive experience in the medical device industry. Alan most recently served as the Director of Operations at Zurex Pharma, a position they assumed in September 2020. Prior to that, they held the role of PD Engineer at Freudenberg Medical from July 2015 to September 2020.

Before their time at Freudenberg Medical, Alan worked at ValenTx as part of the Operations team. During their tenure from May 2014 to July 2015, they successfully relocated the company's original facility from California to Minnesota, managed facility build outs, and oversaw the installation of a new cleanroom. Alan was also responsible for procurement activities for over 300 parts.

From July 2008 to May 2014, Alan worked at Interrad Medical in an Operations role. Prior to that, they were the Manufacturing Engineering Manager at St. Jude Medical from March 2004 to July 2008.

Alan's career began at Velocimed, LLC in September 2003, where they served as a Sr. PD & Manufacturing Engineer. During their time there, they played a vital role in the development and manufacturing of the Venture Catheter, achieving significant yield improvement and capacity enhancement. Alan also became an expert in ERP implementations.

Before Velocimed, LLC, Alan worked at ev3 as a Sr. PD Engineer & Manufacturing Engineer. Alan'sresponsibilities included completing process validations and ramping up production for the company's distal embolic protection device. Alan also led the implementation of various technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities.

Alan started their career at Boston Scientific Corporation, Cardiology Division in January 1994 as a Mfg Engineer. Alan had direct floor supervision responsibilities, handled engineering and technician development, and contributed to continuous improvement activities. Alan played a key role in the integration of an SPC tool and the ramp-up of a manufacturing site in Ireland.

At the beginning of their career, Alan worked as a PD Engineer at Ethicon from 1992 to 1994.

Alan Yang completed their Bachelor's of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology from 1985 to 1989. Subsequently, they pursued a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering with a focus on Polymer Processing at the same institute from 1989 to 1993.
