Rebecca Wong

Rebecca Wong has over 25 years of work experience, primarily in the field of medical writing and clinical development. Rebecca is currently working as the Senior Director of Medical Writing at Zymeworks Inc. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Clinical Development and Medical Writing at Sierra Oncology from 2017 to 2020. Rebecca also has experience as a Senior Manager of Medical Writing at PAREXEL International from 2013 to 2017 and as a Medical Writer at QLT Inc. in 2012. Rebecca has also worked as a Senior Manager of Preclinical at Inimex Pharmaceuticals from 2008 to 2011. Rebecca's career began as a Postdoctoral fellow at Micrologix from 1995 to 1997, followed by positions at Tufts University and the University of British Columbia. Rebecca has a strong background in scientific research and writing.

Rebecca Wong has a strong academic background in the field of science. Rebecca attended Simon Fraser University from 1983 to 1989, where they completed a Bachelor of Science degree with a co-op program. Their major was in Biochemistry. Following this, they pursued further education at The University of British Columbia from 1990 to 1995. During this time, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Microbiology and Immunology.
