Instacart has revealed that it has appointed long-time Facebook executive Carolyn Everson as its new President. Everson left Facebook in June and will help Instacart reimagine its role in the future of food through new and expanded efforts around inspiration, personalization, and accessibility for its global userbase.

2. HubSpot’s CEO Names His Successor and Transitions to Exec Chair Role

HubSpot announced that on September 7, Co-Founder and CEO Brian Halligan will step into the role of Executive Chairman and be replaced by Chief Customer Officer Yamini Rangan. Rangan joined HubSpot in January 2020 and stepped up in March 2021 to lead day-to-day operations at HubSpot while Halligan recovered from a snowmobiling accident.

3. Eventbrite Adds Customer and Comms Chiefs as Live Events Resume

Eventbrite has bolstered its leadership team by creating two new c-suite executives, Chief Communications Officer Gina Stikes and Chief Customer Officer Phil Silverstone. The duo will be key in helping Eventbrite meet the needs of its customers as they increasingly begin to re-attend live events —in Q2 2021 the company reported that paid ticket volume increased 57% from Q1 2021.

5. Okta Finds Its New Tech President and CTO at Google

Okta has picked ex-Google leader Sagnik Nandy to serve on its executive management team as its new President of Technology and CTO. His new roles place him at the head of the independent identity management platform’s engineering and business technology teams. He will also lead the strategic planning of product development activities.

Former Product Management Director at Google, Tarun Jain, has joined Wish, one of the world’s largest e-commerce platforms, as its Chief Product Officer. Jain’s appointment follows the recent news that Farhang Kassaei, another former Google executive, is joining the company as its Chief Technology Officer.

Zocdoc has named Edward Liu as its new Chief Financial Officer. The former Morgan Stanley executive joins the digital healthcare provider after the recent launch of its pay-per-booking business model. After emerging from stealth earlier this year with a $23 million Series A funding round, data privacy and governance platform Ketch has added three new executives as its scales. The startup has selected legal expert Alysa Hutnik as Chief Privacy and Data Security Advisor, sales guru Jim Wangler as Head of Revenue, and Salesforce veteran Michele Davolos as Head of Product Marketing.
