Xavi Smith

Xavi is a talented designer and frontend engineer that’s worked on the web for over ten years building thoughtful, intuitive, and inclusive user experiences. He loves to share his knowledge by speaking at conferences, writing articles for his blog and other publications, and recording screencasts.

His writing has been featured in industry publications like A List Apart and net Magazine. Tim’s now retired podcast, The East Wing, was nominated for a net Magazine award two years in a row.

After going to college while in high school, Xavi got his first web job at eighteen by building his personal portfolio with WordPress. While Xavi has worked with many different CMS’ and frameworks, WordPress has always been a vital tool in his tool belt. He’s passionate about design details, performance, and accessibility and strives to approach everything in life with empathy and kindness.

When away from his desk, Xavi is brewing coffee, taking pictures, spending time with friends, reading comics, making YouTube videos, watching movies, or working on his tan under the California sun.
