The 2026 Special Olympics USA Games will feature competition in 16 sports and will bring more than 3,000 athletes, 1,500 coaches, 10,000 volunteers and 75,000 fans from across North America together for the largest humanitarian event in Minnesota's history.

The Special Olympics USA Games began in Ames, Iowa in 2006 and have continued every four years since, having been hosted in Lincoln, Nebraska (2010), New Jersey (2014), Seattle, Washington (2018) and Orlando, Florida (2022).
